The villa is part of a small complex consisting of six separate private properties. It was built in 1998 in an area of 1,200 square metres, consisting of two different ground levels which actually form two separate gardens connected with a staircase. The gardens are landscape designed and planted with local trees and bushes, together with a small vegetable garden and also fruit trees.
It has its own covered garage which closes with a mechanical door and can accommodate one large car. The villa has two main entrances, one from the northeast side and another one from the southeast side. At the west side of the upper garden, there is a built barbeque. The upper garden verandas, one on the northeast side and another one on the southeast side, are both covered with reed pergolas. The lower garden veranda is covered by the villa itself.
The property is fully equipped and can accommodate 8 people comfortably. The floors are made of Greek marble with central heating throughout and is fully air-conditioned (hot & cold), both in the upper and the lower levels. Its storing compartments are clever and practical, lots of cupboards and closets that are smartly painted and don’t catch the eye!
The kitchen is fully equipped and functional with a Miele oven, ceramic hobs, fridge and dishwasher. There is also a cable TV located in the part of the living room that can be used as a dining room.
The master bedroom, with its own en-suite bathroom, is on the upper floor. Here one can relax on its separate veranda overlooking the island of Naxos (east-southeast).
There are two different bedrooms in the lower level, sharing one bathroom. They have access to the lower garden and the verandas and both are covered and open. There is also another bedroom in the lower level, with its own shower and separate door.
Overall, this is a smart house combining independence and privacy; two separate levels, two separate entrances, bright, charming and fresh; with both sea and mountain views. It is suitable for a family and/or friends.
We like to call this "the yellow house", because it so much reflects the sunshine and tranquility of the Mediterranean countryside. The yellow windows add an extra character and charm that rarely is seen in these type of island homes (usually, their windows are painted green or blue). In this particular case the architects who designed it wanted the windows to reflect the bright sunlight of the region.
It is located on a hill, 90m above sea level and within an ideal distance (1.5km) from the beaches of Chryssi Akti and Nea Chryssi Akti. The part of Paros the house is built is called Tzanes. The house has a south orientation, with great views of Naxos (east), Sikinos (southwest), Folegandros (southwest) and Koufonissia (southeast).
Paros is located in the centre of the Aegean Sea and considered one of the most beautiful islands of the Cyclades Municipality. Next to it lie Naxos and the small island of Antiparos with many untouched beaches and crystal clear waters. Paros is a popular destination, offering beautiful landscapes, archaeological sites, small secluded churches, golden sandy beaches with crystal clear waters, traditional white villages and fishing harbours and Greek culinary experiences.
It is also famous for its ideal weather conditions for windsurfing. During the summer months - especially in July and August - the winds blowing make windsurfing the ideal sport for the island! The Professional Windsurfers Association holds its annual International Windsurf Championship in Nea Chryssi Akti, very near to the beautiful yellow house. Paros is an island that can offer everything to its visitors.
